CATS FOR CHRIST   Calling all cats!!  Thursday, May 7, 2009, is National Day of Prayer.  We will meet during 1st lunch, in the Library and 2nd lunch, in D119, for prayer.   Also Cats for Christ Car Wash, will be held May 9, 2009, from 8:00 am. To 12 pm., right here at Kaiser High School.  Hope to see you there!
     
GIRLS BASKETBALL   Anyone interested in playing girls basketball for the summer tryouts will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6-8 over the next couple of weeks.  We are willing to work with anyone interested in trying.  Attendance is the most important way to show you want to be a part of the program.  If you have questions see Coach Bowles, in E - 121.
     
SENIORS    * Local Scholarship Applications are due by May 8, 2009, at 3:30 pm.                                                                                                                                                                                                                       * "Winning Characteristics" Scholarship www.makingitcount.com/scholarship deadline is June 12, 2009.
     
ATTENTION ALL SPANISH CLUB MEMBERS!   There will be a very important Spanish club meeting on Wednesday , May 6th, during both lunches, in Room E 113, to finalize arrangements for our Rummage Sale AND to discuss our End-of-the-Year party !!!
As usual,  feel free to bring your lunch to the meeting ! 
     
DISTRICT ART SHOW   "This week head on over to Fontana Art Association and support Creative Cats who have entries
in the Fontana Unified District Scholarship Art Show. Some of the best art work in the district will be on display and there is no cost to view it. The art association is at 8536 Sierra Ave  Fontana, CA 92335 you can call (909) 823-6036‎ for additional information - Awards will be presented this Thursday, May 7th, from 7-9PM  so come out and encourage your favorite Cats."
     
SENIORS   Planning on going to college in the fall?  You will need to send a final transcript to the college you are attending.  Please stop by the registrar’s office in the Admin building ASAP and fill out the appropriate form.  
     
ART SHOW/CONTEST   The District High School Art Show/Contest will be on display Thursday, May 7th, from 7:00-9:00.
Our school is well represented in both 2D and 3D art. If you are able to attend, you will not be disappointed.
It is amazing how our students are able to put their thoughts/visions onto canvas or clay. Hope you can make it!
     
DEMERITS   All students must clear their demerits before the end of the year.   The only way you can clear demerits is by attending After School Work Program or a Kaiser High approved community service.   
     
FRENCH CLUB MEETING   French Club meeting will be held Tuesday, May 5, 2009, in F207, during both lunches.  IMPORTANT!! We will be planning for the Rummage Sale.
     
SENIORS!!   If you believe you have had perfect attendance for your ENTIRE school career (K-12) with Fontana Unified School District, please see Mrs. Vass, assistant principal, in the administration building. Thank you!
     
LOST & FOUND   There was an IPod left at the Blood Drive last week!  If it belongs to you, please see Mr. Poirier with specific information to claim it.  
     
COUNSELING APPOINTMENTS   If you want to make an appointment to see your counselor you can make an appointment before school, during brunch, lunch or after school.  You may not make one during class time, NO EXCEPTIONS!!
     
GIRLS TENNIS TRY-OUTS   Girls Tennis Try-outs will begin on Monday, May 11th, right after school, please see Mrs. King.  You must attend ALL 8 days!!
     
SENIOR ATTENDANCE   You must maintain 95% attendance to participate in senior activities.  If your planning to go to grad night or want extra graduation tickets this is a must.   If you have more than 8 all day absences this entire school year, you can make those days up to achieve 95% attendance by attending community service.   Each 4 hours of community service will remove 2 days attendance on paper.   You can pick up forms in F111, Reception, or Attendance.    Approved community service is with Coach Bruich at home Track meets or Park Clean up days.  Anything else must be pre approved by an administrator.
     
ALL STUDENTS   ASB will be having a special election on May 5th, 2009 concerning a constitutional amendment.  The proposed amendments are available for public review in the ASB office, above the library.  Get involved!  Vote!
     
NEW OVERDUE BOOK CHARGE!!   Starting immediately there will be a $5 late fee on each overdue textbook returned after the 1st day of Summer school, including any past due textbooks from the previous year.
     
BOOKKEEPER'S OFFICE   As of Monday, April 6, 2009, The Bookkeeper's Office will NO longer be accepting checks.  Cash or money order payments ONLY.
     
SENIOR T-SHIRTS   Seniors:  Class of 2009 t-shirts are in.  Please come see Ms. Marchis in E116 to purchase your Senior t-shirt.  They are $10 w/ASB card or $15 without the ASB card.  Must show ID with ASB sticker to receive the discount.  Only one shirt can be purchased per senior.  Make sure to get your shirt before we run out.
     
JUNIORS - CLASS OF 2010   Eligible Juniors who qualify to be mid-term graduates must make an appointment to see their counselor by May 15, 2009, to finalize Senior schedules.  
     
IMPORTANT INFORMATION - WORK PERMITS   For ALL NON-SENIORS THIS YEAR WHO ARE WORK PERMIT HOLDERS, it is mandatory that you come in to the Work Experience Office as soon as possible.  If you receive a summons, please do NOT ignore it.  It is important that you come to the office if you wish to become eligible for a work permit in the future.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Urquizu, in the Work Experience Office (located in the Library).
     
DANCE CLASS 2009-2010   Interested in learning dance moves?  Need fine art credit for graduation or A-G?  Dance classes are filling up right now for the 2009-2010 school year.  Open to all 10th-12th grade students.  See your counselor to sign up!
